Ryan Mathews has slow day for Chargers and fantasy owners
San Diego Chargers running back Ryan Mathews failed to find the end zone in the Chargers 34-24 loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Mathews only averaged 3.2 yards per carry with his longest run of the day only going for 10 yards.
Fantasy Impact: The 3.2 yards per carry was his worst average of the season. It was no surprise that he was kept out of the end zone as Mathews only has one touchdown on the season.
With 17 carries and six targets in the passing game, Mathews still gets enough looks to remain a solid RB2 option, but it is apparent at this point that he is not going to put up big numbers or score many touchdowns.
