Pierre Jackson scored 25 points, leading four Baylor players in double figures, and the No. 19 Bears defeated Jackson State, 78-47, on Sunday at the Ferrell Center in Waco, Texas.

The Baylor Bears improved to 2-0 with a 31-point win over the Jackson State Tigers.


Jackson was 9 of 16 from the field and hit 2 of 5 3-point attempts. He added seven assists, four rebounds and three steals for the Bears (2-0). Cory Jefferson scored 14 points on 6 of 7 shooting and tallied six blocks. Rico Gathers finished with a double-double, scoring 13 points and pulling down 10 rebounds, and Taurean Prince compiled 13 points and six rebounds.
Jeff Stubbs led Jackson State (0-1) with 16 points, three steals, two rebounds and an assist. Stubbs was 3 of 6 from behind the 3-point line. Willie Readus scored 11 points and grabbed six rebounds for the Tigers.
The Bears will next take the court against the Boston College Eagles in the Charleston Classic at TD Arena. Tipoff is set for 3 p.m. ET on Thursday, Nov. 15.
