The NC State Wolfpack used a dominant first half to build a big lead over the UMass Minutemen and cruised to an easy 94-76 semifinal win at the Puerto Rico Tip-Off on Friday night. The Wolfpack will move on to face the Oklahoma State Cowboys in the championship game, as OSU defeated the Tennessee Volunteers earlier in the day.

The Wolfpack got their third-straight win to open the season over the Minutemen on Friday.


T.J. Warren led five NC State scorers in double-figures with 21 points on 8-11 shooting. Richard Howell added 19 points and nine rebounds. Lorenzo Brown posted a double-double for the Wolfpack, scoring 11 points and dropping 10 assists.
Jesse Morgan led the way for Massachusetts with 15 points. Terrell Vinson added 13 points and seven rebounds in the loss. UMass will now face Tennessee in the consolation bracket.
NC State was able to stretch their lead to 10 midway through the first half, and was able to keep the MInutemen at bay for the final 30 minutes. UMass never threatened in the second, as the Wolfpack built their lead to as much as 25.
