World Golf Rankings 2012: Rory McIlroy remains No. 1

McIlroy kept hold of the top spot this week.

Stuart Franklin

Rory McIlroy retained the No. 1 spot in the latest World Golf Rankings; he is in his 15th week as world No. 1 this year. Luke Donald moved into the No. 2 spot ahead of Tiger Woods, who dropped to third. Lee Westwood and Adam Scott round out the top five.

Donald is coming off a win at the Dunlop Phoenix event in Japan, which helped him skip ahead of Woods. He began the 2012 season in the No. 1 spot. Scott moved up one spot last week thanks to a strong finish at the Barclays Singapore Open. He also won the Australian Masters over the weekend.

The current World Golf Rankings top 10:

1. Rory McIlroy
2. Luke Donald
3. Tiger Woods
4. Lee Westwood
5. Adam Scott
6. Louis Oosthuizen
7. Justin Rose
8. Jason Dufner
9. Webb Simpson
10. Brandt Snedeker

Simpson jumped Snedeker this week, while everyone else in the top 10 held onto the positions they held in the week prior to this one.
