It is officially U.S. Open week and Shinnecock isn’t holding anything back.

This is one of the greatest weeks in golf as it puts the best players in the world to the most difficult test possible. We see players pushed to their limits and ultimately a National Champion emerges, one that is fitting to represent all that golf stands for.

Golf as a whole stands for a lot of things and one of those is integrity. Abiding by the rules of the game are of critical importance, and this is something that everyone learns at the very beginning of their golfing journey.

The folks at Deloitte are helping to make sure that those rules are more accessible and fan-friendly to all players, not just the professionals. Rules AI launched in pilot just a few weeks ago and delivers fast, trusted rules answers through the GHIN mobile app for anyone on the course.

This is an incredible use for AI. It is helping golfers out in the middle of their rounds rely on a point of technology that can problem-solve in the moment, all straight from the app on their phone.

While the USGA is responsible as the governing body of the rules, the technology provided by Deloitte is what helps make this possible. They built it into a scalable, production-ready digital product that is smooth and seamless.

If you are out on the grounds at the U.S. Open then you have a chance to experience this in a totally different light. There are 7-foot avatars that are helping to make this technology all the more real and tangible for fans in attendance.
