To recap the first half of this Thanksgiving Day game between the New England Patriots and the New York Jets requires some introspection.
Patriots vs. Jets score update: At halftime, it’s New England 35, New York LOL
This has been some kind of Turkey Day miracle.
I haven’t enjoyed an hour-plus of programming on NBC this much in a long, long time. Not since the days of Seinfeld, Cheers or early-season ER has the Peacock been this brash, innovative and entertaining.
The Patriots are leading 35-3, and Tom Brady doesn’t look like he has even broken a sweat. Bill Belichick seems like he wants to drop a hundo on the Jets, and the fans are throwing out so many expletives the production truck can’t even show a bunch of crowd shots. The only thing that would make this game better is if Tim Tebow came out and started the second half.
Let’s take a look back.
