At 1-10, the Chiefs have already had a very frustrating season, but Sunday's 17-9 loss to the Denver Broncos was a new dimension according to SB Nation's Arrowhead Pride. The Chiefs twice made major mistakes on timeouts and were kept out of the end zone all day, and Arrowhead Pride believes that was all on head coach Romeo Crennel:

This wasn’t even one of those “hindsight is 20/20” things. Everyone knew right then and there that the timeout was a bad move. And, you know what? It was. The Broncos ran the play clock down nearly the full 40 seconds on two of their last three plays. The Chiefs took their last timeout at 1:48. They got the ball back with 14 seconds left. They could’ve used an extra 40 seconds (...even if the offense probably wouldn’t have scored).
The Chiefs got a solid day from running back Jamaal Charles, who rushed for 106 yards to keep the ball moving. Unfortunately, quarterback Brady Quinn threw for only 126 yards and completed just 13 of 25 passes. Quinn was also intercepted once as the Chiefs were limited to only three field goals from Ryan Succop.
That was enough for Kansas City to hold a rare 9-7 lead in the third quarter. A 30-yard touchdown pass to Demaryius Thomas and a Denver field goal allowed the Broncos to pull ahead, however, and earn the win.
