Mark Herzlich was a First Team All-American and ACC Defensive Player of the Year in 2008, leading Boston College with 110 tackles as a junior. Even though he was projected as a top-15 pick in the 2009 NFL Draft, he returned to the Eagles for his senior season. But then the unthinkable happened: Herzlich was diagnosed with Ewing's Sarcoma, a rare form of bone cancer.
At this point, Herzlich’s story is well known, but no less remarkable -- a truly inspiration tale of survival.
