When they squared off back in Week 10, the 49ers and Rams became historical footnotes, battling to a 24-24 tie. San Francisco entered that game at Candlestick as a 13.5-point favorite, but the Rams have played better since. The spread this week is 8, with the Rams hosting the 49ers in the Edward Jones Dome.
NFL odds, Week 13: 49ers vs. Rams
The 49ers open as 8-point favorites over the Rams, the team they tied in Week 10.

The 49ers have been reliable cover artists, going 7-4 against the spread and coming off victories against New Orleans and Chicago. New quarterback Colin Kaepernick has been a spark plug for the offense, who have topped 30 point in each of his starts. The defense remains astounding, allowing a league-best 14.1 points per game to opponents. Their two return touchdowns last week against the Saints appear to be the rule rather than the exception.
The Rams have looked lost at times, such as their Week 11 defeat at the hands of the Jets. But a 31-17 victory over Arizona on Sunday gave St. Louis something to hang their hats on. Also, their 7-3 record against the spread as underdogs is pretty impressive. The Rams have been 8 or more point underdogs twice this season and have covered both times, including the Week 10 tie against the 49ers.
