Doc Rivers is a big Barack Obama supporter, but when the results started coming in on election night he was too nervous to continue watching. So he went to see "Argo." That's when the text messages started coming.
Doc Rivers thought he was turning into Karl Rove
Doc Rivers got so caught up in the madness of election night that he had to walk out of a Ben Affleck movie early when he thought he was turning into Karl Rove.
"I was getting texts from people, they were telling me what was going on and I didn't believe it," Rivers said before the Celtics played on Wednesday. "I was turning into Karl Rove. It was unbelievable."
Needless to say, Doc was happy with the result, but he skipped the rest of the movie to find out for himself.
“So I didn’t see the end of ‘Argo’ and it was terrific,” Rivers said. “I have to go pay again, and if you know me that really pisses me off. So, I have to go twice.”
