Chiefs vs. Browns, Week 14: Another week, another blowout

A lost season for the Chiefs is becoming the theme at Arrowhead Pride.

David Richard-USA TODAY Sports

Through 13 games in the 2012 NFL season, the Kansas City Chiefs have been blown out by double-digit margins in eight of them. Even after the feel-good win over Carolina last week, the Chiefs put up very little fight in a 30-7 loss to the Browns on Sunday. As Arrowhead Pride stated, it was more of the same:

The Chiefs’ special teams performance has been horrid. They gave up a punt return touchdown, missed a field goal and then on the second-half kickoff they booted it out of bounds. Awful.

Jamaal Charles started the game with an 8-yard touchdown run on the first play from scrimmage, but the Chiefs did little else after that. Charles would finish with 165 yards rushing on 18 carries, which was nearly half of Kansas City's total offense on the day.

Trent Richardson only rushed for 42 yards, but he had two touchdowns for Cleveland. Brandon Weeden only threw for 217 yards and no touchdowns for the Browns. The lack of offense was aided by a 93-yard punt return for a touchdown by Travis Benjamin.
