No. 14 Gonzaga vs. Kansas State final score: Bulldogs bite Wildcats, 68-52

Gonzaga easily handled the Wildcats with a strong second half surge.

Steven Bisig-USA TODAY Sports

No. 14 Gonzaga used a big second-half surge to take care of Kansas State on Saturday, winning 68-52 at KeyArena in Seattle.

The Bulldogs (10-1) led 27-26 at the half, with the Wildcats (7-2) erasing a 25-19 deficit in the final two minutes and apparently seizing momentum in the game. Gonzaga pulled away as soon as the second half began, however, building up a 47-33 lead and never looking back while scoring 41 points to close out the game.

Gonzaga forward Kelly Olynyk led the Bulldogs with 20 points on 10-of-13 shooting, with the team has a whole shooting 47 percent in the game. The Bulldogs hit on just 3-of-12 from long distance but shot 85 percent from the line to offset the poor shooting from distance.

Kansas State had just one player in double digits on Saturday, with guard Angel Rodriquez putting up 14 points and three assists in the loss.
