Victor Cruz honoring Newtown shooting victim with message on his shoes

Victor Cruz will honor Jack Pinto, a victim of Friday’s school shooting, with a special message on his shoes on Sunday.

New York Giants wide receiver Victor Cruz wrote a special note on his shoes for Sunday's game in Atlanta. Cruz is honoring one of the victims of the Newtown school shooting at Sandy Hook Elementary with the message "RIP Jack Pinto" and "My Hero" written on his shoes. Pinto was a fan of the Giants and Cruz. Here's another image of the cleats that Cruz tweeted out this morning:

It's just one of several gestures being made around the league to mourn the victims of Friday's shooting. The Patriots, Jets, and Giants will all wear special decals on their helmets in honor of Newtown.
