No. 2 UConn vs. No. 1 Stanford: Huskies end Cardinal’s 82-game home winning streak
The top two women’s teams in the country faced off on Saturday, and the longest home winning streak in the nation fell.

The Huskies dominated the Cardinal from the opening tip, building a 31-13 halftime lead. Stanford never threatened in the second half, as it couldn’t overcome its offensive woes.
UConn held Stanford to a historically bad shooting performance. The Cardinal made just 11 of 57 shots, for an abysmal 19 percent from the field. Turning the ball over 15 times also didn’t help as Stanford scored just 34 points on 65 possessions.
Kaleena Mosqueda-Lewis led the Huskies with 19 points on 7-of-13 shooting. UConn will now rise to the top spot in the rankings. Stanford falls to 1-8 all time in No. 1 vs. No. 2 matchups.
