Bengals last offensive TD came in fourth quarter of Eagles game

The Bengals have now gone close to a game and a half without scoring an offensive touchdown, something that isn’t very typical of a playoff team.

Greg Bartram-USA TODAY Sports

As the Bengals trail the Ravens by a score of 7-0 at home half way through the second quarter in their Week 17 matchup, the team's last offensive touchdown is becoming a distant memory. In fact, according to Cincinnati sports radio personality Lance McAlister, the Bengals' last offensive touchdown was in Week 15 with 12:47 left in the fourth quarter against the Eagles when Andy Dalton threw a five-yard touchdown pass to A.J. Green.

The Bengals' next game was was against the Steelers, a game which they won by a score of 13-10, locking their place in the playoffs as the AFC's No. 6 seed. However, they won that game without scoring a single offensive touchdown. Their lone touchdown was on a pick six by Leon Hall and the other two scores were Josh Brown field goals.

The Bengals are going to the playoffs for the second consecutive season, something they haven’t done since ‘81 and ‘82. If they would like to win their first playoff game since the 1990, they’ll have to get their offense firing. If they don’t they won’t have much of a chance at defeating the No. 3 seed, whoever that may be, in the Wildcard Round.
