With Manny Pacquiao and Juan Manuel Marquez set to meet for a fourth time this Saturday night on HBO pay per view there are many wondering if this is the fight where Marquez finally gets the win. While the first fight was a controversial draw, many felt that Marquez earned the nod in the second and (especially) the third meeting.

HBO has put out a video that looks back on the three fights with Max Kellerman providing perspective. It’s a solid way to quickly understand how the fights went and how they were viewed at the time while also appreciating the changes each man has made since the first meeting in 2004:
The other aspect of the video that speaks to me is the fact that these two are so evenly matched that it almost guarantees an evenly matched fourth fight. Which leads to the question that, if you don’t like this fight because it’s “already been done three times,” would you prefer to watch a fight less guaranteed to be competitive and exciting simply because you want a different set of names?
