Manny Pacquiao and Juan Manuel Marquez are names that will be forever tied together in boxing history and this Saturday’s fourth bout between the two on HBO pay-per-view is likely only to cement that. At yesterday’s press conference Manny seemed entirely comfortable with repeatedly fighting Marquez.
Pacquiao vs. Marquez 4 - Manny: ‘if he wants to fight once every Saturday of the month, no problem’
Manny Pacquiao says that he’d fight Juan Manuel Marquez every week if he had to, saying he respects his rival’s “brave heart.”

“Like what Top Rank CEO Bob Arum told you, when you say Muhammad Ali, you think Joe Frazier, and when you say Frazier, you think Muhammad Ali. I think when you say Manny Pacquiao, you think Marquez, and when you say Marquez, you think Manny Pacquiao,” said Pacquiao.
“If I’m scared of him, I’m not going to choose him again after four times. If he wants to fight, ‘Yes,’ and if he wants to fight once every Saturday of the month, no problem. I settled with Marquez because he’s very...he has a brave heart.”
Pacquiao also stressed that if Marquez wants to make a clear mark that he won the fight, he should abandon his counterpunching style and stand toe-to-toe. Pacquiao suggested that Marquez has been “backing off and backing off” while waiting for his opponent’s punches.
We’ll see if anything changes when they meet on Saturday, but it’s hard to imagine these two men changing too much and it’s almost impossible to imagine the fight looking too different from the three previous meetings.
So expect a close fight that sees both men landing plenty of hard shots.
