Pacquiao vs Marquez: Brandon Rios hoping for Pacquiao win

Brandon Rios is hoping Manny Pacquiao beats Juan Manuel Marquez on HBO pay-per-view to set up an April showdown.

With it already established that Brandon Rios could be next up for Manny Pacquiao should Manny win this Saturday against Juan Manuel Marquez, Rios is making it quite clear that he will be rooting for the Filipino star. Rios discussed the situation with Tecate Boxing ahead of the big HBO pay-per-view bout.

Bad Left Hook transcribed the interview:

Tecate Boxing: “Brandon, there are a lot of rumors. Brandon Rios against Pacquiao, Brandon Rios against the winner of this fight. What do you have to say?”

Brandon Rios: “That’s great. It’s about time my name has come up. I worked my way up. It’s my time now. It’s my time.”

Tecate: “What’s next? Do you know now?”

Rios: “We don’t know now. We’re waiting for the winner of this one to see what’s happening. They say my next fight could be in April, but I’m just waiting for the winner of these two to see what’s going to happen. Hopefully against Pacquiao. I’m hoping Pacquiao wins.”

You can read the rest of the transcription for the above video at Bad Left Hook. Rios discusses the “rage” that he fights with and his love of being in a good fight.
