Any worry that Manny Pacquiao and Juan Manuel Marquez meeting for a fourth time would lead to a lacking live gate seems to have been put to rest. It was announced today that the event has sold out, as expected.
Pacquiao vs Marquez 4 sells out with live gate over $10.5 million
Manny Pacquiao and Juan Manuel Marquez are doing big business once again as Top Rank announces that their fourth fight has sold out with a live gate over $10.5 million.

From a press release sent out today:
The people have spoken and they voted unanimously for Saturday’s welterweight battle between MANNY PACQUIAO and JUAN MANUEL MÁRQUEZ 4 -- Act Four of their exciting and fistoric rivalry. Hall of Fame promoter Bob Arum announced today that the MGM Grand Garden Arena and its 16,000-plus seats have completely sold out, producing a live gate in excess of $10.5 million.
“Manny and Juan Manuel may have unfinished business in the ring, but as far as the live box office, it’s business as usual – another sellout,” said Arum. “I encourage boxing fans in Las Vegas to go to their favorite MGM Resort International property to purchase their closed-circuit seats today because the projections are looking like a sell out there too.”
Assuming $10.5 million turns out to be the exact amount, that would be the third biggest Pacquiao gate to date in Las Vegas.
His fight with Oscar De La Hoya drew roughly $14.4 million and the third fight with Marquez drew roughly $11.6 million. $10.5 beats out Manny’s bout with Shane Mosley at $8.9 million.
$10.5 million would also make it the 14th biggest gate in Vegas boxing history, edging out Floyd Mayweather vs. Ricky Hatton.
