50 Cent will finally be making his debut as a boxing promoter with his star, Yuriorkis Gamboa, in the featured bout of the undercard of Manny Pacquiao vs. Juan Manuel Marquez. Gamboa will return to the ring for the first time in over a year to face Michael Farenas.
Pacquiao vs Marquez undercard: Bob Arum says 50 Cent and Yuriorkis Gamboa will have ‘elaborate’ entrance
Bob Arum says that 50 Cent and Yuriorkis Gamboa will have a ring wal that will “blow the socks off everyone” on the undercard of Manny Pacquiao vs. Juan Manuel Marquez.

As the bout should be smooth sailing for Gamboa, the most interesting thing about the fight may very well turn out to be Yuriorkis’ ring entrance. At least if Bob Arum is to be believed (via Boxing Scene):
“You are going to see when Yuriorkis Gamboa enters the ring on Saturday night an entrance like you’ve never seen before. It’s going to blow the socks off everyone and that’s something you’re going to see a lot more of in the future.”
Now, look, a few things. I don’t know what Bob Arum might think will blow my socks off, or yours, but if it’s a guy rapping, we’ve seen plenty of that. If it’s more elaborate, then I don’t know if it’ll fit in the MGM Grand’s usually small walkway.
Boxing has plenty of history with elaborate entrances. Prince Naseem Hamed was notorious for over-the-top ring walks, the Klitschko brothers have taken to odd theatrics as of late, Joseph Agbeko has won a gorilla mask and been led to the ring in chains.
Basically, if you’re expecting to wow someone, you’re going to need to do something unique and not, as Scott said, just rapping someone to the ring.
