Pacquiao vs. Marquez live results: Round 6 - Marquez knocks out Pacquiao

Round-by-round results from Manny Pacquiao against Juan Manuel Marquez. This post covers the action from round 6, including Marquez’s shocking knockout of Pacquiao to win the fight.

Jeff Bottari

Manny Pacquiao had knocked Juan Manuel Marquez down in round five of their fight on HBO pay-per-view and took the fight back over after having been knocked down in round three.

Marquez came out, blood pouring from his nose, left eye swelling and ate a few more big lefts from Pacquiao. Marquez started to fire back with his own counters. As the action continued to ramp up in drama, Marquez started to seem closer and closer to disaster as Pacquaio zeroed in with the left hand.

Marquez remained game, looking for counters and occasionally using a right hand or body shot to get his offense going.

As the round came to a close Marquez landed a massive right hand and Pacquiao collapse to his face as the bell rang. Pacquiao was not moving and was counted out.

After 42 rounds he finally did it. Juan Manuel Marquez had his moment. He got the victory he felt had been stolen from him three times prior.

He knocked out his foe and he won this great rivalry.

Round: 10-8 Pacquiao

Fight: 48-45 Pacquaio
