Theo Epstein on leaving the Red Sox:
Anniversary No. 2
↵↵That is just the way I am wired; I tend to get a little bit restless in places. I believe in change, rebirth and new challenges ... I didn’t want to go anywhere because it was a nice situation, or because the weather was nice. Because the Cubs haven’t won in 103 years and have a fan base that wants a winner, the job connected with me. That is what makes it fun.
↵↵One year ago, I wrote my first piece for SB Nation. Since then, I’ve been through a great deal of change, a rebirth even, and the challenges have been ... well, exceptionally challenging. And I’ve never had more fun. Thanks for reading.
