The coaching turnover at Pittsburgh continued on Saturday morning, as reports surfaced that offensive coordinator Bob Bostad was leaving to join the Tampa Bay Buccaneers as their new offensive line coach. Alex Marvez of FoxSports reported Bostad's departure. Bostad never coached a game for the Panthers, and lasted less than two months after being hired by former Wisconsin colleague Paul Chryst the week of Christmas.

Greg Schiano and the Bucs have had difficulty assembling a staff, with many teams blocking their attempts to interview current assistants around the league. They hired Mike Sullivan, the Giants' quarterbacks coach, as offensive coordinator earlier this month. Bostad will now serve under Sullivan.

Bostad was very close personally with Chryst, with both serving on the offensive staff under Bret Bielema. Former Bostad players Gabe Carimi, Bill Nagy, and John Moffitt all started as rookie offensive lineman in the NFL this season. While playing under the tutelage of Bostad, both Carimi and Moffitt were named All-Americans. It's a solid addition to the Bucs staff and a significant loss for Pitt, which seemed to be getting its footing and recovering from the abrupt Todd Graham departure.
