(5) Hello, my name is SUCCESSFUL LACKADAISICAL SOMERSAULT.
I am a last-minute addition to the bracket because I am awesome. Here, you see Nick Swisher finding a way around catcher Carlos Ruiz to score during the 2009 World Series.
I have no idea what Swisher was thinking. I’m not even sure he was trying to accomplish anything. He may have just thought, “welp, guess I’ll do a somersault, that’s a thing I can do.” And IT WORKED! He scored! This is the most athletic thing a baseball player has done since 2003, when Kyle Farnsworth reached up really high to get something off a shelf.
Also: I know that object next to the batter’s box is a baseball bat. I know that. But it’s actually a bottle of Guinness, okay?
