(7) Hello. My name is GABE KAPLER’S TOTALLY NECESSARY DIVE.
I am basically the spiritual opposite of ALEX GONZALEZ IS INDIFFERENT. Gabe Kapler probably just lost the ball in the lights and figured he’d give it the ol’ college try. If this were an actual college try, it would end up with Gabe Kapler dropping out midway through his first semester so that he could use the refund to install 12” woofers in his 1990 Oldsmobile. Not that anyone has ever actually done that.
(10) Hello. I am WORST DAY EVER.
I was captured just after Philip Rivers fumbled away a virtually certain victory. Had he not dropped the ball deep in Chiefs territory with the game tied and under a minute remaining, the Chargers would almost definitely have finished at 9-7 and reached the playoffs. He did, and they missed.
The gasp at the end is just the best.
