I was captured right after Giants kicker Jay Feely missed a would-be-game-winning kick at the end of regulation. Aside from RANDY JOHNSON HITS BIRD, I may be the most celebrated animated sports GIF of all time.
It’s fun to stare and try to isolate the exact frame at which Shockey realizes what’s up. It’s also important to note that Shockey isn’t the only one prematurely celebrating. One guy’s even throwing his helmet in the air. If you did that in today’s NFL, you would go to prison.

I am not funny, but I am super-weird. He seems to hit the ball squarely, but I guess the velocity of the ball and the angle of the bat were just right, and the ball just goes rolling off the bat instead of bouncing off.
