Man ... I mean, I’m kind of an idiot when it comes to physics, but I’m still amazed when a pitcher throws a curveball. At least I understand that there’s a twist of the wrist involved, and that the fingers can grip the seam of the ball and make it spin that way.
This is a different matter. This is a ball in motion that is struck by a foot, which cannot grip things, and it’s done extemporaneously, through a space that opened up 0.5 seconds ago. Lionel Messi is not the only soccer player to have done this, but that doesn’t mean it isn’t absolutely bananas clownshoes insane.
