Chien-Ming Wang Leaves Game After Awkward Fall
A lot of spring-training injuries you don't see because they aren't televised. But the Washington Nationals' game was on TV on Thursday, and Chien-Ming Wang's injury -- described as a "strained hamstring" -- looks a heckuva lot worse:

Wang was competing with John Lannan for the fifth spot in the rotation after signing a one-year deal early in the offseason, long before the Nationals had any idea they were going to add both Gio Gonzalez and Edwin Jackson.
It could be something that is just a little stiff for a couple of days, but it sure looked worse. Wang missed most of the last four seasons with shoulder troubles, so if there’s anyone who doesn’t deserve to miss time because of a fluke thing like this, it’s Wang.
Lannan probably had the inside track on the job, but there was always the possibility of a trade. Until Wang is pitching again, that’s obviously not going to happen.
