Marlins Don’t Dread The Marketing Of Jose Reyes

If you buy something from a link, Vox Media may earn a commission. See our ethics statement.

The Marlins signed Jose Reyes to a $106 million deal in the offseason, ostensibly because he would help the team sell tickets. Just how he’s going to help them sell tickets, well, they’re not really sure yet. After the jump, please take a look how one marketing person spent his or her afternoon one day:

The Marlins wanted to get the shadows out of Jose Reyes’ eyes for their ticket ad, which makes sense. A little Photoshop can go a long way. But, uh, not sure where all his hair went from the picture on the left to the picture on the right.

Someone made a really, really odd decision. As long as we’re taking requests, how about Carl Pavano without a mustache, and a Brian Wilson with more of a Ming the Merciless thing going.

(Edit: That’s right. He cut the hair off in February. So the picture on the left is a Photoshop just to get him into a Marlins uniform, and the one on the right is a Photoshop of a Photoshop. Got it.)
