Another 100th Anniversary Worth Remembering

Fenway Park wasn’t the only major-league stadium that opened on April 20, 1912. Tiger Stadium, which closed after the 1999 season, also opened on that day; the Tigers beat the Indians 6-5 in 11 innings.

↵The Detroit Free Press has a huge selection of photos from Tiger Stadium’s history today. Celebrate Fenway’s 100th, but don’t forget this significant history.
