Adrian Beltre Hamstring Injury Not A Hamstring Injury At All

Like a few other Texas Rangers, Adrian Beltre is an outstanding player whose only real problem is staying on the field. Last season, Beltre missed several weeks with a strained left hamstring. Over the weekend, Beltre appeared to strain his left hamstring again, and so there was some concern that Beltre would be sidelined for a significant stretch.

Beltre pretty quickly denied that this new injury was serious. And now tests have revealed that the injury isn’t even the injury people thought it was:

So Beltre doesn't have an injured hamstring. He has an injured almost-hamstring, and it isn't a big deal. He's not 100 percent, but he's nearly 100 percent and he'll be good to go again soon. There will always be worries about Beltre, since he's a critical and sometimes fragile player, but this time he and the Rangers have dodged a bullet (to the hamstring).
