New York Mets' outfielder Scott Hairston hit for the cycle in his first four at-bats against the Colorado Rockies in Coors Field on Friday night, becoming the tenth Met in history to do so.
Mets’ Scott Hairston Hits For Cycle

Hairston started his cycle with a single in the second inning, and he hit a homer in the fourth off Rockies' starter Drew Pomeranz. He tripled in the fifth against Esmil Rogers, and then doubled in the sixth inning against Josh Roenicke.
The double wasn’t a cheapy, either:
Statistically, it's about as rare for a team to have a player hit for the cycle as it is to have one pitch a no-hitter, which makes it somewhat quirky -- alanisly ironic -- that they've had ten cycles without a no-hitter in franchise history. On the flip side the Marlins haven't been around for 20 years, yet they have four no-hitters and no cycles. What a game! What a country!
