Josh Hamilton Injury: Rangers Star Leaves Game With Back Stiffness
Josh Hamilton left Sunday night’s game against the Rays with back stiffness. He’s listed as day-to-day.

Hamilton started and rapped an RBI single, but hurt his back sliding into second base in the first inning, came out for the second inning, and was subsequently pulled after it stiffened up. He was replaced by David Murphy.
Hamilton has been superb for the Rangers so far this year, as they have raced out to a franchise-best 16-5 start. He was hitting .395 entering Sunday night’s game, with nine home runs and 25 RBI, and was anchoring an attack that ranked first in MLB in runs, batting average, on-base percentage and slugging.
