One of those “situations” might very well be his contract. Harvin, a first-round pick in 2009, has two years left on his five-year, $12.5 million rookie contract. He is due just $915,000 in base salary this season and $1.55 million in 2013.
Head coach Leslie Frazier was optimistic that Harvin would be in training camp this year. According to Tom Pelissero of ESPN 1500, Frazier ruled out that it had anything to do with Harvin’s role in the offense.
