Earlier this week, Percy Harvin tweeted that he was going to need shoulder surgery. On Tuesday, his head coach Leslie Frazier confirmed it. Harvin has been feeling shoulder pain while weightlifting and will undergo arthroscopic surgery that will take a couple of weeks to recover from. Harvin should have no problem getting on the field when the Vikings start OTAs.

Frazier said that there were no indicators of problems at the end of the season, and that Harvin’s shoulder pain came up while he was working out in the offseason. Frazier did not specify which shoulder was injured.
“When he left after the season there was no talk of any problems, but when he was lifting and working out he just kept getting this pain in his shoulder so he came back up, took a look at it and made the decision to clean this up.”
