Yankees right fielder Nick Swisher suffered a hamstring strain during the team's 6-2 win over the Tigers on Sunday, and in an unusual way:
Nick Swisher Out Of Yankees Lineup For A Week
The Yankees right fielder strained his hamstring on Sunday and will miss several games.

Swisher worked a walk in the third inning against Tigers right-hander Max Scherzer and, while at first base, grabbed at the back of his left leg as though he was trying to work out tightness.
An MRI taken during the Yankees' 6-2 victory over the Tigers revealed the strain. [Manager Joe] Girardi said that he did not know if Swisher would require a stint on the disabled list.
Strange way to hurt your leg -- while drawing a walk. Anyway, Swisher won't be in the Yankees' lineup when they take on the Orioles at Yankee Stadium Monday night:
With Swisher out, Nunez will start in left field and Ibanez will start in right.

The worse news is that it won’t just be for one game:
Nick Swisher isn't likely to play for the Yankees until next Tuesday, but Girardi said they're going to try not to DL him

Swisher is off to a solid start, hitting .284/.355/.617 in 81 at-bats; his 23 RBI are second in the AL to Josh Hamilton's 25.
