This summer, track and field events will garner some of the biggest headlines at the Olympics, as the competition determines coveted titles like “The World’s Fastest Man” and “Person Who Can Pole Vault The Highest, Which Is A Great Party Trick If You Have A Huge Fiberglass Pole At Your Party.”

↵It’s a lot of fun to watch the world’s greatest athletes excel at their sports -- but it’s even MORE fun to watch them crash and burn. That’s why Dan Rubenstein and I got together to find the finest track and field failures the Internet had to offer. The results are delightful, assuming nobody was seriously injured.
