The Chicago White Sox will sign Orlando Hudson, according to manager Robin Ventura. The White Sox manager says the veteran infielder is on his way to join the club and will take the spot of third baseman Brent Morel, who's headed to the disabled list. The team has not officially announced the move, but Ventura did indicate that it was imminent when he spoke to the press before their series finale against the Cubs on Sunday.
Orlando Hudson Signing With White Sox, Says Robin Ventura
The Chicago White Sox will reportedly sign veteran second baseman Orlando Hudson, who will fill in at third base for the injured Brent Morel.

The San Diego Padres waived Hudson on Thursday, with the second baseman batting .211 with one home run this season. It’s his 11th season in the majors, but he has never played third base. After playing plenty of third in the minors, “O-Dog” spent most of his time in the bigs at second, winning four Gold Gloves. According to the Chicago Sun-Times, Ventura does not plan to move Gordon Beckham from second to third, meaning Hudson is likely destined for the hot corner.
