On Monday night, the Seattle Seahawks sent a conditional seventh-round pick in the 2013 NFL Draft to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers for tight end Kellen Winslow.
Seahawks send conditional 7th rounder to Buccaneers for Kellen Winslow

The divisive veteran tight end had 75 catches for 763 yards and two touchdowns last season. As pointed out by Brian McIntyre of NFL.com, the Seahawks will pay the remainder of Winslow's $15.95 million contract the next three years. The Buccaneers quickly replaced Winslow with Dallas Clark.
In regards to picks, Seattle had an extra pick to play with for next year's draft after trading Aaron Curry to the Oakland Raiders for a conditional fourth- or fifth-round pick. The trade marks the 15th pick in the 2013 NFL Draft that has been traded.
Winslow joins Zach Miller, a free agent signing before last season, to give the Seahawks a solid two tight end set. The Seahawks got little production out of Miller last season and used him more as a blocker on the right side. Doug Farrar of Yahoo! Sports has a nice breakdown of how Seattle could use Miller and Winslow here.
In exchange for Winslow, the Seahawks sent the Buccaneers a conditional seventh-round pick that can elevate to a sixth-round pick. Details of the conditions are currently unknown, but likely tied to production and maybe games played. Although Winslow hasn’t missed a game in three seasons, and only six in six years, there are always concerns about his surgically repaired knees.
The Seahawks had previously shown interest in Visanthe Shiancoe and Jacob Tamme.
