Ryan Braun Leaves Game With Groin Tightness

The Brewers outfielder has a minor injury that could keep him out for a day or two.

This has not been the year of Ryan Braun’s contentment.

First there was the controversy over his positive PED test and the overturning of the suspension connected with that test. Then he suffered a minor groin strain in spring training and missed some time during camp.

Performance-wise, he’s done quite well so far this season -- .333/.402/.647 in 40 games, with 12 home runs and 30 RBI. He’s leading the National League in runs scored with 30.

Monday night, though, he left the Brewers' game in San Francisco with more groin tightness. Jordan Schelling:

After grounding out to end the bottom of the 10th inning Monday against the Giants at Miller Park, Brewers left fielder Ryan Braun left the game with tightness in his right groin.

Following the 4-3, 14-inning loss, Braun said the injury wasn't bad, but he didn't know if he'd be able to play Tuesday in Game 2 against San Francisco.

"We'll see how it feels tomorrow," he said.

Insert groin-related joke here.
