The injury-plagued Milwaukee Brewers took another hit Sunday when they placed first baseman Travis Ishikawa on the disabled list with an oblique strain.

Ishikawa started 14 games at first base for the Brewers this season. He took over the starting job when Milwaukee lost Mat Gamel to a torn ACL in early May. In 64 at-bats this season, Ishikawa is hitting .250 with four home runs and 14 RBI.

Brooks Conrad comes up from AAA to replace Ishikawa. Conrad has spent time with the Brewers and in AAA this season. In 21 Major League at-bats this season, Conrad is yet to record a hit. In 21 games for AAA Nashville, Conrad hit .405 with 10 home runs and 28 RBI.
