The ‘79 Rays

The Tampa Bay Rays are running a turn-back-the-clock promotion, and they’re going to wear throwback uniforms that never existed -- a tribute to the 1979 Rays that never were. From SportsLogos.net:

Unfortunately they did not go with elastic waist-band on the pants, but really that’s the only thing they missed in this near-perfect set.This brings up an interesting question. What player from 1979 was the Raysiest? What player was the most likely to have been on the 1979 Rays?
