I found myself wondering about the pitch with the most vertical break thrown this season. So I looked it up, and found the pitch below, thrown to Eric Sogard in the tenth inning on April 11. Relative to a pitch thrown with no spin -- the PITCHf/x origin -- this pitch broke down an extra 16.2 inches. Fittingly enough, it was swung on and missed.
