College World Series 2012: Arizona Wary Of FSU Bats
“Don’t leave anything down the middle, because they’ll hit it,” Arizona pitcher Kurt Heyer, who will take the mound against FSU, told the Arizona Daily Star on Monday. “If we stick to our game plan, they’ll make a lot of ground-ball outs.”
Heyer will need to be on his game on Friday night as the Seminoles have made it a habit of beating up on pitchers who can’t find their spots. Florida State ranks seventh in the country in on-base percentage (.406) and beat up on the No. 8 overall pick in the MLB draft in their first matchup with Stanford.
