One of the very few bright spots in the Twins' season has been second-year starter Scott Diamond, who's pitched brilliantly in his seven starts.
Twins’ P.J. Walters Hitting DL With Shoulder Injury

One of the very few bright spots in the Twins' season has not been first-year (for the Twins) starter P.J. Walters, who's posted a 5.40 ERA in his seven starts. Still, with the recent release of Jason Marquis, the Twins have relied on Walters to round out their pitching rotation.
Wednesday night, Walters started against the Phillies but was removed after facing only four batters, all of whom hit safely.
Thursday, Walters was placed on the Disabled List because of shoulder inflammation.
His place on the roster's been taken by Lester Oliveros, a right-handed relief pitcher. It's not yet know who will take Walters' place in the rotation.
