The 2012 College World Series begins Friday with the first games from TD Ameritrade Park in Omaha.
College World Series 2012: Let The Games Begin
Friday’s first game features teams who took very different paths to the College World Series. UCLA, a No. 1 seed, takes on Stony Brook, a No. 4 seed. Stony Brook reached the College World Series by upsetting LSU in the Super Regional. The Bruins and Seawolves play at 5 p.m. ET with television coverage on ESPN2.
Game two on Friday will be a matchup of No. 1 seeds as Arizona faces Florida State. Florida State advanced to the College World Series by beating Stanford in the Super Regional while Arizona advanced past St. Johns. Both teams went 5-0 during regional and Super Regional play. The game is scheduled to begin at 9 p.m. ET and will be broadcast on ESPN2.
