Jason Bay has had one of the more star-crossed tenures of any MLB player since signing his massive free agent deal with the New York Mets in 2010. That bad luck has continued in 2012, and Bay is now headed to the disabled list with a concussion.
Jason Bay On 7-Day Disabled List With Concussion
Jason Bay is hurt again. A concussion has sent the Mets outfielder to the disabled list.

Bay’s concussion is not his first. A concussion in July 2010 forced him to miss the final two months of the regular season. It is also just the latest malady for a player who has been injured more often than not as a Met — he missed six weeks in 2012 with a fractured rib — frustrating the team and its fans alike.
Mets manager Terry Collins cautioned that Bay might be out longer than the week he has to be.
“I’m very worried because Jason’s first one was pretty severe, and he hit that wall pretty hard yesterday,” Collins said. For more on the Mets, visit Amazin’ Avenue and SB Nation New York.
