The first game in the 2012 College World Series Championship Finals is finally here. Eight teams headed to Omaha, but now only two remain in the quest to become the national champion of college baseball. The Arizona Wildcats won their side of the bracket with ease, knocking off the Florida State Seminoles on Thursday to advance to the finals without having lost a game in the tournament.

The South Carolina Gamecocks had a much harder road to travel in order to reach the finals, playing in three straight elimination games. With their backs against the wall, the finally sent the Arkansas Razorbacks packing on Friday to stand alone in the bottom bracket.
On Sunday, the first game of the best-of-three, winner-take-all Championship Series will take place at TD Ameritrade Park. The game will begin at 8:00 p.m. ET and will be televised on ESPN 2. Arizona will act as the home team in Game 1.
Game 2 will take place on Monday night at 8:00 p.m. ET with the Gamecocks as the home team and will be televised on ESPN. Game 3, if necessary, will begin at 8:00 p.m. ET on Tuesday and will also air on ESPN.
