The Toronto Blue Jays have had a miserable time with injuries this year, as just about every pitcher in the rotation and bullpen has suffered some sort of malady this year. But the problem was mostly limited to the pitching staff. Until now.

Slugger, All-Star, right fielder, and fan favorite Jose Bautista left Monday night's game against the New York Yankees in the top of the eighth inning, tweaking his wrist on a swing:

The ball went deep down the left-field line before hooking foul, but Bautista left the game with what the Blue Jays are calling a wrist injury:

The Blue Jays would likely turn to Travis Snider in the event of a Bautista injury, as the 24-year-old slugger is hitting .313/.409/.544 in triple-A Las Vegas after an early-season demotion. Ben Francisco could also get a chunk of the playing time in right.
