Wins-wise, Chad Billingsley is going through a rough season: 18 starts, and just four victories.
Dodgers Place Chad Billingsley On Disabled List

But otherwise, Billingsley’s pitched about as well as ever, and actually sports the best strikeout-to-walk ratio (2.94) of his career. In his last two starts, he struck out 13 batters in 12 innings, while walking nobody.
That second start came 10 days ago, though; Tuesday, Billingsley hit the Disabled List. From the Dodgers:
The Los Angeles Dodgers today placed right-hander Chad Billingsley on the 15-day disabled list with right elbow inflammation (retroactive to July 8) and recalled right-hander Stephen Fife from Triple-A Albuquerque to make tonight's start against the Phillies. Billingsley was 4-9 with a 4.30 ERA in 18 starts this season and is eligible to return from the DL on July 23.
Fife, who's starting against Philadelphia Tuesday night -- with Roy Halladay coming off the D.L. to start for the Phillies -- hasn't exactly been wowing the Pacific Coast League this season, with a 4.53 ERA in 18 starts. But Fife does throw a lot of sinking fastballs, which might at least give him a decent chance to survive for five or six innings in his major-league debut.
